BIOGRAPHY
Who Am I?
My name is Hayden, and I am a multi-talented musician with a passion for exploration and experimentation. I was the pianist for the indie-pop band "The Flying Monkeys," where I performed and wrote music with my bandmates throughout 2022. Unfortunately, we disbanded the group in early 2023, as complications arose with the lead guitarist/singer. In addition to my work with the band, I am also a solo musician under the name "James Blaine," where I use my skills on the piano to create unique and evocative pieces of music which will be shared on this website.
As a musician, I am constantly seeking out new and exciting sounds and styles to incorporate into my work. This has led me to explore a wide range of genres, from the classics to the contemporary. I am equally at home playing the intricate melodies of classical music as I am the energetic rhythms of rock music. I am also not afraid to experiment with different instruments and sounds, from the traditional piano and guitar to more unconventional and avant-garde choices.
In addition to my musical pursuits, I am also an avid listener and connoisseur of music. I am always on the lookout for new and interesting artists to discover, and I am not afraid to venture outside of my comfort zone to find them. This has allowed me to broaden my musical tastes and open my mind to new ideas and perspectives.
Overall, my love for music and my desire to push the boundaries of what is possible have driven me to become the versatile and dynamic musician that I am today. Whether I am creating new music as a solo artist, or simply listening to the latest tracks, I am always seeking out new and exciting ways to express myself and connect with others through music.

My Progress
Why do I document my progress?
I document my music progress for several reasons. Firstly, it helps me track my growth and improvement over time. By keeping a record of my compositions, performances, and practices, I can see how far I have come and identify areas for further development. This is a source of motivation and keeps me focused on my goals.
Another advantage of documenting my progress is that it provides a permanent record of my creative work. This is particularly useful if I am working on a project or composing music that I want to keep for posterity. My documentation serves as a reference for future performances or collaborations, and it also showcases my talents to others.
Additionally, documenting my progress helps me reflect on my creative process and refine my craft. By analysing my progress over time, I can identify patterns, techniques, and approaches that work well for me and make changes to my process that will improve my music even further. This is a valuable tool for reaching my goals as a musician.
In conclusion, documenting my music progress is an essential tool for tracking my growth, preserving my creative work, and refining my craft. Thus, taking the time to document my progress will help me reach my musical goals and grow as a musician.
