Haydn performs at Battle Of The Bands at St Andrews Anglican College!

On the 3rd of September, I had the opportunity to showcase my skills as a pianist and performer with my band "The Flying Monkeys" at the Battle Of The Bands competition at St Andrews Anglican College. We decided to play two contrasting songs to showcase our versatility as a group: ACDC's classic rock anthem "Highway To Hell" and the indie-pop hit "Television" by Rex Orange County. As I sat behind the piano, my fingers danced across the keys, bringing the energetic and powerful opening riff of "Highway To Hell" to life. My bandmates joined in with their instruments, creating a lively and engaging performance that had the audience clapping along and singing along.

Next, we transitioned into the more laid-back and introspective "Television," with my emotive piano playing complementing the soulful vocals of our lead singer. Overall, it was an exhilarating experience, and we were thrilled to receive positive feedback from the judges and the audience. It was a great way to end the third term of the school year and get our creative juices flowing.
